Spend an Evening with Michael McDonald

By Nancy Price, Executive Director Peachtree City CVB

The Frederick Brown Jr. Amphitheater is a perfect place to spend a summer evening, and this weekend in Peachtree City promises to be memorable. One of the most recognizable voices in music plays at The Fred on Saturday night, June 12—the legendary Michael McDonald.

Michael McDonald, June 12
"Distinctive and soulful, McDonald’s voice is one of the most yearningly emotive instruments of our times. To this, add formidable songwriting and keyboard skills, and you have an artist who has been a singular musical presence for our decades. From 70’s era Doobie Brothers classics such as “What a Fool Believes” and solo hits like “I Keep Forgettin’” through two highly acclaimed Motown covers albums and recent genre-busting guest spots with alternative buzz bands Grizzly Bear and holy Ghost, the five-time Grammy-winning McDonald is that rare thing in contemporary pop — an artist whose work is both timeless and ever-evolving."

Hurry, if you want to spend an evening at The Fred with this amazing artist. There are a limited amount of reserved seats available. Reserve tickets are $55 - $75 while The Lawn is $45. Tickets can be purchased at The Fred Box Office or by calling 770-631-0630. Or you can go online at amphitheater.org. For information about an overnight stay at one of our hotels as well as where to eat and other things to do, visit our Peachtree City CVB website.

Gates for the show open at 7pm. Michael’s son, Dylan McDonald performing with his band The Avians, opens for his dad at 8pm with McDonald going on at 9pm.
